Because I am a GirL

What do you think about gender??  Is it about sex of male and female? It's maybe to be true, but not absolutely. Gender is more than that. Gender is not only about you are boy and I am girl, but it’s about their social status and responsibility. Gender refers to the socially constructed roles, behavior, activities, and attributes that a particular society considers appropriate for men and women.

Since some years ago, the gender issue has been profound interest in the society. The problem of the gender is there is a inequality treatment between girl and boy. It’s automatically formed by the social-cultures in a period. Nobody knows why it happened. Usually in a certain society, boy considered to be more valuable. It causes people treat boys better than girls, such as give them higher education, better food, and any others. Girls have no voice to make decision in their family. This condition still happen in many parts of the world, especially in the urban area. 
Some weeks ago, I saw in the television program “Kick Andy”, in the one village in Papua, women get discrimination treatment badly. Women are not permitted to give birth in their house. When they will give birth, they are taken to the beach to give birth there helped by their neighbor. Hey boys, do you think that you will happy  if you are born like that? In the beach, with bad condition?  I know it's their culture but I think that it is really unfair.

Everyone, both boys and girls have rights to get equality treatment in education, economics, politics, and social. Campaign about gender equality is very needed to improve the knowledge of society . Parents, society, and government must protect  and secure every child, every people both boys and girls to get same rights in their life. 
I really hope in the future, there are no girl will say, "I can't get my dreams because I am a girl" but they confidently will say" I CAN DO THAT, AND I CAN REACH ALL OF MY DREAMS BECAUSE I AM A GIRL" :D
